great sizeconvenient locationfaulty airhot radiator
the room size was great! thankfully, there was a fan available in the room. the location was convenient for visiting the castle and various restaurants.
the air conditioning unit wasn't working, even though it was only around 20 degrees outside. the towel radiator in the bathroom was very hot and i couldn't turn it off.

a gentle haven

kind staffcomfortable bedeasy parkinglumpy pillow
the staff at reception and the bar, were kind. they helped me find my way around, i found comfortable beds and a room that felt spacious. parking was easy, i found a space nearby without trouble.
the pillows, i feel, were a bit lumpy and i found it hard to get very restful sleep. i hope they consider changing them soon.

Breakfast includes many choices and variety. I found that good. i saw many options including fresh fruit and hot dishes. That seems a great start to any day. the dining area felt calm.

the rooms have kettles, that's important. biscuits came with the tea and coffee, it seemed like a bonus. the hotel helped secure discounts at the nearby car park, that eased my mind.

A romantic getaway

friendly staffparking spacesconvenient locationmetal frame
The staff were friendly and very helpful. I should have asked for her name to thank the receptionist from this morning PERSONALLY. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces, a TRUE gift! The location is close to shops, bars and the castle, ALL very convenient.
The sofa beds could REALLY use mattress toppers. I felt the metal frame through the thin mattress. it caused some slight back discomfort, a shame.
Service
9/10
The staff was very attentive and friendly. They managed all my requests with a smile. Breakfast offered many delicious options including gluten-free choices and vegan alternatives, SHOWING attention to detail. The reception area was cute.
Rooms
8/10
The room had pillow spray, a small touch that helped us sleep, what a PERFECT touch! The room also featured both dressing gowns and slippers. We found bottled water, tea, coffee and biscuits, awaiting our arrival.
Facilities
10/10
The hotel's location is literally seconds away from the castle. VERY convenient for sightseeing. The shops are within a comfortable walking distance, which i did value. Plenty of nice places to eat are located nearby.
